This course is NOT designed to be a “hands-on” course.  This course is not designed to meet the needs of the students whose career plans are focused in automotive technology.  Essential Car Care will cover aspects of the automotive field, which are pertinent to every student, regardless of career choice.  Areas taught will range from automotive service to buying an automobile.

A person who completes this course should have a basic understanding for an automobile and should feel comfortable in either repairing elementary problems themselves or having a professional do the repair.  This class will not only give each of the students a good understanding of an automobile and vital problem solving skills, but will also provide them with the knowledge to save some of the costly expenses of owning an automobile.
